Again Uganda Opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye has been arrested. He was arrested by the security forces from outside of his home. He has been arrested now in his home. He has been home arrested as per the security officials. He tried to attempt to walk to work. he was an attempt to walk to Kampala in protest against the unreasonable commodity prices in the country. As per the Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has prevented leaving Kizza from home.
Why was Dr. Kizza Besigye Arrested?
Gas and fuel price are very high in Uganda. It has become a very serious issue for the citizens of Uganda. So many people can not afford to drive their cars or motorcycles. So when the problem came in the country, then opposition leader Dr. Besgiye gave a suggestion to Walk to Work. so many people in the country supported him, but the Uganda government did not like his proposal of him. So that is why this conflict is going on in the country. Opposition leaders announced that they would also start walking to work every Monday and Thursday. But this proposal has been totally rejected by the authority.
Uganda opposition leader Kizza was shot in the right hand on 14 April, when he attempted to walk to work in the capital Kampala.
